Today’s madness is another Sudlak.
The cat made me do it.
Sidlak Poetry – is a structured poetry consisting of five lines with 3-5-7-9-9 syllables and a color. The last line must be a color that describes the whole poem or the feeling of the writer.

Peacefully
he purrs in his sleep,
balancing beauty and grace.
I wonder at his serenity,
the king on his royal orchid bed.

Love it. So happy that you wrote it about your cats, nice the cat made me do it, very interesting poetry form. Hope you have a lovely week, now with spring here it must be getting warmer for you.

I had to look at your Sidlak poem to find out that it’s actually 3-5-7-9-9 with the last line being a color. 🙂
About 3 weeks ago, the temperature was in the mid 80’s (That’s early May weather). Then it plunged back down again by 20F degrees. We went from having a fan in the window to heaters again. It’s supposed to be close to freezing tonight, get into the low 80’s in a few days and then down into the 70’s with a low in the 40’s.

So it looks as though winter is returning for you, it feels like winter is already here in NZ, 11 degrees Celsius at 7am, not sure what that is in Fahrenheit, but it’s not very warm.

That’s about 52F here. I always have to look it up using a conversion program. 🙂

He’s quite an elegant cat when he’s sleeping. When he wants something (like food) he sounds like an air raid siren. 🙂

Nice! I’m a fan of most poems mentioning grace. But you got me with the last line too. It’s a good image.
