A word & a poem
A word & a poem from my son.
He is the serious poet in the family, and he will be sending me more poems during the year to publish on my blog.
He thanked me for sharing his interview and said,
“Here is a yet unpublished poem for y’all, I hope you enjoy it.”
Spectrum
The passage of light in waves
Under windowsills and through concrete
In and out of time
.
Such is love, a heart transmits
A stellar cartography of sighs, squeaks
And chirps like a meadow lark,
.
And is lost unto its satellite,
Receiver occupied and waves bounce
Like the hand of Gemini in a look
.
And back again, milk chocolate eyes
In the mires of a darkened door from paradise,
Slowly receding final beats of doves.
