The first day I met her, I knew she had my sense of humor.
She’d been a military MP. After retirement, she chose a receptionist job that lacked the stress of policing soldiers.
“It’s hot in here, and you’re wearing a sweater?” she asked me.
“People move here from up north, complain about the environment, and add to the problem by turning on the air conditioning.”
“It’s essential,” she insisted.
“If everyone who couldn’t live without air conditioning fled, true Floridians would be so happy.” Her frown became a scowl. I added with a smirk, “All ten of us.”
😅😅 LOL, I like that sarcasm 😄 Nicely done Joelle 😍✨✍️

It’s fun to find people with the sarcasm gene, too.

Ha, ha! I might know one of your ten fellow True Floridians. And my Aunt who lives in Mesa, Arizona swims in a “cold” pool as warm as bathwater and loves it. She sets her airconditioning to 82. I told her, that’s called a heater at that temp. Fun take on the prompt.

Your aunt and I would get along well.

I’m no Floridian but I do dislike AC. In the old days, when I might be out and about in the summer, I always kept a fleece in the truck to put on when going into a building where it would be set to freezing. Then the shock of stepping back outside. ugh.
