…and another scam bites the ice
Awake at 3:00 in the morning after 8 hours sleep…sort of (if you count the 3-hour nap from 3pm – 6pm).
I have Dan Alatorre to blame for my latest dream-mare (not quite dream, not quite nightmare). Just click on his name so that you, too, can read about yet another fraudulent marketing scheme targeting writers.
What, might you ask, was tonight’s foray into an alternate reality while sleeping on the edge of my bed?
The younger me was helping the older me with marketing my book.
That morphed into finding an affordable plot of land on which to build a new home.
I gave her money, and where does she buy the land?
Some place between Christchurch, New Zealand and Antarctica.
Well…it was land. And it was cheap. For people who like cold weather, and can’t stand indoor plumbing, it might have worked out… but not if you live in Podunk, Florida, where there are still amenities like summer, sinks with hot water — and toilets.
