Obtuse

There are words I love, simply for the fact they sound like exactly what they mean.

Obtuse is a good example: Slow minded and/or insensitive.  

But that depends upon what angle you look at it.

The same can be said for the word Umbrage.

Many people are offended when other people use such “big” words.

I loved playing hangman as a child.  There was one word that gave me a guaranteed win:  Megalomaniac.

It was no fun once other people learned the word.  What an ego deflator!

I had absolutely, positively, and unequivocally no reason for putting this meme into my post.  But I am the captain of this ship called “my body” and I liked it.

Did I tell you about the time my daughter wrote an essay about her family?  It went something like this:

My mom is a Delorean and my aunt is a van.

I thought it was so sweet!  My sister had a few choice words to say.  I’ll take out the ones I don’t want to repeat, “What the hell?  I’m a VAN?!?!”

Muscle cars, like words, depend upon your perspective.
