Today
Today
What is today?
I wish to live.
What is life?
Have I conquered?
What am I fighting?
Have I prevailed?
No body, no life.
Why do we strive to achieve?
For after we are gone
who remembers
That once we had lived
Who remembers
That once we loved, dreamed,
and wished for a better tomorrow.
(In memory of Coon Cat — your brother and I miss you.)
Gorgeous feline. I too have just lost my 18-year-old, tortoiseshell- marked, special companion, Lena. I miss her.

His brother misses him terribly, and I’m a poor second as a brother substitute. He passed away several months ago, but sometimes I think of him and wished his brother had him back again.

How well I understand. I hope someday to write some type of tribute to Lena.

Wow, beautiful. What a handful he was.A good hugger it looks like.

He was understated, loved to be brushed, and purred so softly when petted. He had a soft little meow, while his smaller brother sounded like an air raid siren.

Lovely poem. Our pets leave such a hole when they pass away. Time may soften the edges, but it’s a hole none the less and always will be.
