Senseless Sunday Sarcasm : Life
Life.
That place between birth and death.
Some days I think Birth and Death have a bet going. Can’t you just see it?
Birth says, “Let’s throw some humans on top of Earth and see what they do to avoid both of us.”
Death says, “This should be fun!”
Humans say, “Who the hell are YOU people, and why am I here?”
Seven thousand eons later…
Birth says, “Look, they voted to kill babies being born if a mother doesn’t want them, but they still won’t allow old people the right to die with dignity!”
Death says, “They’re too busy playing video games to avoid either of us. These creatures are insane!”
Humans say, “I don’t like people wearing red in movie theaters, or smoking in public, or walking down the street with their pet baby elephant. Let’s pass a law!”
Did anyone ask me if I wanted to be born? Not that it’s been a bad life, just that no one I didn’t listen when everyone told me that life was this short.
I thought I had more time.
But this life is going by faster than a roll or toilet paper in a diarrhea clinic.
Wasn’t it only yesterday I was doing this, and this, and…when did THAT happen?
So then, when you’re eligible for retirement, what makes life worth living?
Family.
Dogs teach us unconditional love, cats provide a way for us to practice it, and life gives us something to do until we die.
Once I’ve passed this fleshly hurdle, I’ll ask again, “Did anyone ask if I wanted to be born?”
I’m rather concerned that a booming voice in the depths of space will reply, “You said you were bored and wanted something interesting to do. Next time, watch out what you wish for; you might end up getting it. By the way, your dog is waiting for you to feed him.”

I’m in the 2nd month of a liquid diet (gastroparesis flare-up) and it makes a person ponder.

LOL! The gastroparesis diet isn’t recommended. Last night, I was up with what felt like the first part of labor — not painful, but uncomfortable and irritating as your gut spasms. And all I did was drink a different puree other than canned potato soup.
I suppose if everyone who wanted to lose weight had this problem, the success rate would be 100%. 🙂

It comes with a price: You may never be able to drink wine or eat pizza again without wondering, “Is this what’s going to give me unimaginable pain and 2 months of fasting?”
The anticipation is often worse than the torture. 🙂

I get that. I have had many episodes of gastric and duodenal ulcers before I got the knee replacement done.

Wow! I have the “cold” of the stomach world while you have had the “flu.” You certainly DO understand! I know of 2 people who had knee replacements and both said the Physical Therapy was worse than the operation. You must be a VERY strong person to go through that.

Not strong, just desperate. It was so difficult to survive on all the painkillers I was taking that I thought the pain for a couple of weeks is better that a life long torture of stomach problems. Now I am fully functional as per my knee joints are concerned. No knee pain! 😃

That’s usually what gets us to the doctor — the cure is better than what we’re going though. 🙂

Yes! Can not believe it’s alreDy March this year. Let’s face it, January is always a right-off! Those fur-kids are adorable but I get your point.feed them!cheers,H

So far today, my 366 dollar cat has knocked my digital recorder off the desk, tipped over the container with my digital camera, and managed to make me stand up to see the computer monitor so much I think I’ve done 100 knee bends already.
He keeps me on my toes. 🙂
