Halloween Cat

Into the woods, a Halloween cat,

wanders and ponders a clickty clack,

perching, and lurching, he’s blacker than night

searching for spirits and souls he can bite.

 

With eyes of a lemon and needle-like teeth,

he lives for the carnage, for havoc and grief,

he rips up his foes, ignoring their cries, 

bored when the leaves have all met their demise.
