North Florida just before dusk.
Cloud seasons sky on
country road awaiting dusk
as birds harmonize.
Christmas lights surround palm trees
Florida shelters winter fowl.
a fine weekly exercise of the mind, creating deep thinking.

That’s a great tanka poem, love your image, but I hope Christmas isn’t here yet, although I seen all the decorations for sale in the mall today. Blessings my friend, have a great day.

It does seem a bit odd. In the US, we have Halloween at the end of October, Thanksgiving at the end of November and Christmas at the end of December. It’s not unusual to see decorations for all 3 in the same aisle.

That’s amazing something special to celebrate for the next three months, so yes I can understand all the decorations now. That’a a whole lot of fun.

In South Florida, the trees don’t lose their leaves. I’m in North Florida and the leaves drop in December but return in February. What a difference 300 miles makes.

I’ve never seen Christmas lights on a palm tree. Can’t wait!
