Make a splash, tumble down

splatter upward, hit the ground.

Summer’s coming, be prepared

for squirting guns, and sprinkled hair.

.

Frowning killjoys not allowed

sunshine only,  no dark clouds.

Swing on ropes, jump from trees,

skim the lakes on water skis.

.

Six months later winter takes

away the shimmer of our lakes

Enjoy it while the beauty lasts

for snow and ice appear too fast.
