Again with the Sidlak. I think I like weird names that sound clunky. Sidlak Poetry – is a structured poetry consisting of five lines with 3-5-7-9 syllables and a color. The last line, 9 syllables, must be a color that describes the whole poem or the feeling of the writer.
In case you’re wondering why this poem is so Poeish, the thing I took a picture of was making wide circles around my Tiny Terror when he was about 2 months old.
Mystical
cloud-brushed, sea blue skies
bring unwanted predators.
They arrived upon gusty currents,
black death under a half-eaten moon.

Oh, that would be a bit frighting for the poor little fellow, just as well you were there o save him. Nice Sidlak poem.
Hope you are having a great week with all your lovely animals.

We have a lot of red tailed hawks here and people are starting to warn about keeping your pets inside. Several reports of cats being carried off. But, they are so beautiful and they are just doing what hawks do! Still, very scary.

The last time I saw birds with such a huge wing span, 3 of my cats went missing from Thanksgiving through Christmas. When they were gone, no other cats went missing. It may be just a coincidence, but after seeing a bird circling around like that, I wouldn’t leave a kitten unattended.

My daughter takes her cats for walks on a leash. They have been inside since we saved them from the cold at about 6 weeks old. They were so tiny! We have a lot of red tailed hawks that are always soaring overhead. Nope, our cats do not roam!

Ours would find a way out if we didn’t have a dog door. They’re sly like that.
