Carrot Cake? Why write about number two?
C’mon – tell me which one you’d rather have.
Do you want the lusciously smooth dark chocolate cake with the melty buttercream and dark chocolate icing, or would you rather have stubbly carrots and nuts with the possibility of (shudder) pineapple thrown into it?
The last time I tried carrot cake, the first bite ended up inside a napkin. It took a cup of coffee and a slice of chocolate pie to get rid of the taste.
I’ve had good carrot cakes made with quality ingredients, but nothing screams “comfort food” like chocolate.
Nah… gotta disagree here… carrot cake wins hands down for me Lol!

Isn’t it fantastic that different people like so many different kinds of desserts? Shortly, I’ll be getting some vanilla ice cream and spinkling dark chocolate all over it.

Lol! That sounds good too!

I don’t know why but never really liked dark chocolate. Anyway hope you enjoy if it was ice cream with white Choctaw that would be yummy.x

One of my kids prefers yellow cake with white icing. Where did I go wrong? 🙂
Seriously, I love trying different desserts. One of the employees where I work makes the best zucchini bread ever! I’ll try almost anything once.

I don’t even know what that is.

I’ll have a little of each please! Carrot cake has to be made just right, yeah, or have the napkin ready.

On lesson learned the hard way: Never eat carrot cake at a national all-you-can-eat restaurant chain. They’re not going to use the best ingredients. 🙂

My oldest son loves both hummingbird and carrot cake (they are similar). Isn’t it wonderful how we are all so different. Great response to the prompt.

Thanks. 🙂
Without people trying to throw different things together, this would be a bland world, indeed.

Next time you are in India in winters, allow me to offer you carrot halwa (a sort of pudding), you’ll forget all that bad taste of the cake 🙂

I’d love to take you up on the offer. It’s fun to try different foods.

If we are talking about what we’d prefer – I’d go a biscuit or a slice anytime. I’d be hard pressed to pick between carrot and chocolate.

Probably depends upon your mood. 🙂

Definitely carrot cake, moist and sweet, spilling raisins from its warm brown sides. But leave off the inch and a half of teeth-floating, diabetes-inducing frosting cream-cheese, please!

Then you like carrot bread better? 🙂

Stubbly carrots! Ha, ha — it is a hard comparison when your opening lines are so luscious in favor of chocolate!

I plead guilty to being extremely biased when it comes to chocolate. 🙂
