The Sunshine Blogger Award – 2018
The Sunshine Blogger Award – 2018
I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Kiwinana. I enjoy her tanka prompts each Tuesday, and it seems she enjoys what I do with those prompts. 🙂
Thanks Kiwinana!
What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?
The sunshine blogger award is given to bloggers by other bloggers who are positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.
I’ve been nominated for this award before, but being endowed with the memory of a goldfish I don’t remember exactly when that happened.
Sunshine Blogger Award Rules
- Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the questions sent by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate new blogs to receive the award and write them new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog.
Kiwinana’s questions for me:
1. What inspires you to write: That’s so simple, I’m ashamed to answer the question. I can’t NOT write. I have movie-length full-color dreams that are the catalyst: All I have to do is close my eyes, sit at the keyboard, and watch my fingers type out the book.
2. How many times a week do you post a blog: At least 6 days during the week, unless I’m sick. Then it might be more than 6 days a week. I like to share the pain.
3. How would you describe your blogging style? A bit of dyslexic with a dash of dry humor. My motto says it all: RANTS, HUMOR, SARCASM, AND A HAIKU-LIKE SUBSTANCE? IT’S HARD TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING TO COME OUT OF OUR MINDS NEXT. I know, cut/paste is cheating a little. But I rarely know what’s going to come out of my mouth mind next. It certainly can make life exciting.
4. Have you ever thought about quitting blogging? I was fortunate to have a best friend, Vickie, who dragged me into the blog-o-sphere kicking and screaming, “I can’t do this! No one will read it!” She created this blog site for both of us, became my one-woman cheer leading squad, and then went to sonography school (When that happened, this blog became 1 on a rant for 2 of us). Over 6600 readers later, she proved me wrong. She ended up to be the one who rarely wrote anything.
5. Where do you want to be five years from now? Hopefully on the best seller list while a movie is being made from one of my books. It’s either that, or I’ll have dementia, and think my book is a best seller and I’m starring in my own movie.
I don’t nominate specific blogs. If you want to spread the sunshine, consider yourself nominated.
Here are my questions to you:
- If you had the power to do so, what would you do to make a difference in the world?
- Why did you start blogging?
- What one piece of advice would you give a new blogger?
- Who inspires you as a blogger and could you share a favorite post from her/his blog?
- If you could live anywhere you wanted to in the world, where would it be — and why?
Please share a link to your “SUNSHINE AWARD” post in the reply section below so that other people can visit your site and check out your answers.
There is never any obligation with my nominations.
If you’re unable to participate for any reason, please accept this as a gesture of my appreciation.
That was fast work, loved your answers. So you are writing a book, all the best, I have thought about it, but not started yet, most likely never will, too many other things on my list.

I have a second one coming out soon, and a different SciFi book after that. I’ll announce it when they’re finally published. 🙂
