We’d dreamed, hoped, to fly
on spaceships, not soaring whales…
killing the magic.
Oh, that’s so bittersweet. I agree. Metal tubes are not the same as truly flying.

I flew from Morocco to NYC on an airbus and was in one of the middle seats. It’s like being in the middle of a theater, “Sorry….excuse me….” when you need to use the micro-bathroom. 🙂

Good analogy. The middle seat is the worst unless you have family or friends on the aisle.

I kept telling myself, “This isn’t a covered wagon…you’ll live,” like it was a mantra. Going to Morocco, the airline screwed up, so they put me in business class for the trip there. I slept most of the way. Not an option on the way back. 🙂

I am surprised you could sleep at all. I love your mantra, although at least you don’t have far to fall if the wagon wheels drop off. What a n adventure it sounds like to go to Morocco!

It gets you there and back. Better than taking a covered wagon or a boat. 🙂
