One, then another
tunnel appearing, we stop,
travel and repeat.
In the portal I waited,
never to enjoy the view.

OK, you’ll have to help me with this one please, can’t really get it. Love the feel of it, but can’t get the meaning 😦

Poetry has different meanings to different people. When I wrote it, I was visualizing how many times I’ve traveled from one place to another, stopping at bus stations, train stations and airports where I’ve walked through a hallway/portal to a bathroom.
I don’t talk to people, usually sleep while traveling, don’t look around much, or spend a day exploring. Most of us approach life the same way, but our destination is birth to death and we miss so much in our rush to get to the next stop…and the next…until there are no stops remaining.

Nice. As you said in an earlier comment, there are so many possible meanings with poetry. My mind went another way.
