I don’t like the crowds, either. But I went on a romantic walk on the beach one night and the next day my legs looked like I had hives — itchy, too. 🙂
The beach was fun — when I was 10. Now, the crowds are insane.
There’s nothing like swimming on the beach and seeing a big turd float by. The day my mother saw that was the last day we went to that particular beach (my favorite one) Yes, fish go to the bathroom in the water all the time, but for some reason, seeing the human version sort of ruins the experience.
I found a tiyps before you all get well and read it exactly as you proceed
Never remove sandflowers yourself
Mostly you bring as a tourist one to a maximum of two sand fleas. The spots are quite painful and can hinder you while walking.
Do not attempt to remove or even cut out sandflowers yourself – that usually goes wrong. The spots can be inflamed
Â
Go if you have the opportunity to see the doctor. It removes the fleas and administers antibiotics to prevent bacterial infection. In addition, your tetanus vaccination is refreshed as required.
If this is not possible, only waiting will help. After three to five weeks the spook is over and the sand fleas are dead.
Researchers are finding medicines against sand fleas
Sand fleas have always been removed surgically since it has not been possible to treat the affected areas with medicines.
The newly developed remedy for sandflows, however, consists of dimeticon with different viscosity. The solution is applied to the affected area and penetrates into the orifice through which the sand trap separates, breathes and eggs.
At first studies in Kenya, seventy-eight percent of the sand fleas died in seventy minutes, and ninety-two percent did not develop any further. If sandflies have died, you are no longer a danger to the body and the inflammation disappears within a week.
This first effective medicine to treat the consequences of infestation by sand fleas is not yet available.
I can avoid the coast too! Heavens to betsy….

That’s what it looks like when sand fleas bite. I learned my lesson at the age of 23. 🙂

Sand fleas have always been removed surgically since it has not been possible to treat the affected areas with medicines.
Scientists at the Charité in Berlin have now found out that a remedy with two varieties Dimeticon kills sand fleas. The silcon oil is contained in a shampoo approved for us against head lice (NYDA® against lice and nits).

When I had sand flea bites on my thighs, legs, and feet, we didn’t know all this. I just remember being miserable for a few weeks.
Thanks for the information.
