Thursday? Already?
This is my 1-month anniversary back at the job I’d been doing from 2004 until December 1.
What a difference a 2 month and 8 day retirement can make. I’d like to think of retirement this way

In a word: Nope.
I went from
What am I going to do today?
to
How am I going to get ALL of this done today!!!?
It’s Thursday. Yoga day (now referred to as too-tired-for-yoga day).
Here is the truth about retirement.
If you have plenty of this
You don’t have to contemplate how to use this in a casserole:
There is far too little of this
And a S#!%-load of this
In one month, I went from this:
To this:
It’s been both rough and rewarding.
If I had a politicians retirement fund, would I have agreed to go back to work?
In a word: Yes.
There is no greater reward than being needed.
I’m that crazy.
Great! That picture of cat food nearly made me throw up a little in my mouth. Now, I have no cat and plenty of cat food in the cupboard. My form of retirement sucks Ass! And I can’t work……but I’m expected to do voluntary work for free! Rock and hard place!

Apologies. It wasn’t meant to do that. It’s a throwback to the 1970’s when there were articles about older people eating dog and cat food. Somehow, I doubt that jalapeno chili could hide the taste of that meat.

I would retire now in a heartbeat if I had the money to do so. I have hobbies that would keep my busy, and probably eventually end up making some money!

First, you have to ask the question, “Can I live off my social security check?” If your answer is, “Possibly,” then the real answer is “No.” 🙂

According to the IRS report I get, I will make more when I retire than I do working LOL!!!!!!!! I am not quite 60 yet, so I have a few years to go.

Will you have to be 67 so get retirement benefits by that time? You can go for early retirement but won’t get as much.

How can you possibly be old enough to retire? You look younger than me! (And I’m old, but not *that* old.)
I hope you’re finding some ways to enjoy your time, even if it’s not as extravagant as an island vacation.

I thought the glasses would give the gravitar away. The picture was taken in the 1980’s when big-glasses were in style. If you look at my picture at the top of my blog (in pink), you can see I’ve been around the block a few times. My best friend, the lady standing next to me (my partner in blogging), is younger than I am. 🙂
