Realization
A cuddle of dogs,
tightly wrapping me with love,
softly snoring sleep.
When the world is a pressure cooker ready to blow, and the small comforts of life begin to fade away, dogs put life into perspective.
- What if we always met the ones we love with a smile every time they walked through the door?
- What if we could be happy with a warm bed and a comforting arm around us every night?
- And…what if we could as freely give our love and trust to each other as our dogs give to us?
I’m left with one last question: Why can’t I be as good to others every day of my life as my dog is to me?
Probably for the same reason the world is a pressure cooker ready to blow.
Or why can’t family be as good to me as my cat is?

Sad to say, it’s many people experience.

As we rescue animals and nurture them, we learn from them.

In many ways, our rescues rescue us. 🙂

Great post! And reflective questions. We can learn a lot from the animals that most say have no feelings and aren’t intelligent. Think they are speaking of the wrong “animals”. 🙂
