Memorial day is not about the corrupt politicians and inept generals. It’s about people who showed the courage to do what they believed was right.
On this Memorial Day we are remembering the US soldiers who, through altruism, stepped up and said, “I’m fighting for my family, my country, and for God.”

The German prisoner of war camp where my mother worked as a secretary 1941 – 1945. Papago Park, Arizona
Remember not flags.
Remember courage to fight
for God and country.
.
Forget not our wars
for the fallen will tell you
“I followed my heart.”
The only heroes we can truthfully declare are those of our fallen soldiers. Blessed are they that stood for something and gave their all to see it through. ❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻

Miss our conversations. I’m here, there, and a little bit of everywhere these days. Summer is busy for me, the garden, the family visits and now taking care with mother-in-law each Sunday.
I hope you’re doing well; your family, too. Don’t forget…if you get to OKC this year, I’ll drive up and visit.

I’m looking forward to pictures of your garden in your blog.
Wish I could afford a trip to see my daughter again, and spend a couple of hours talking about blogs, kids, and coffee grounds. 🙂

It would be a blast to visit once again. As you can see, no recent update to my blog. Been fighting the black cloud of depression, and don’t want to put up a Debbie Downer type post. Many good things are happening in spite of that old nemesis. My kiddos are doing well, Hannah is as sweet as ever, and my cats continue to rule my world.
The garden is something I will post soon. My habitat for bees and butterflies has really become successful. I had hoped to get my bee boxes installed, but the organic gardening supplier has not held the workshop for this year. I asked, but they don’t know if they’ll do one this year. They are closing their original store in Fort Worth and working on expanding the Grapevine store right now.
I planted a ‘Big Daddy’ hydrangea this year. Good heavens, girlfriend, the flowers are the size of small basketballs! I cut one for a bouquet this weekend. By the end of this week I should have another I can snapshot for you.

I transplanted an aloe that my SIL gave me. It survived. I’m leaving it alone and it’s grown 2 inches. That’s the extent of my gardening skills. 🙂
You’ve been through some hard experiences lately. Sometimes a person needs to take a step back and get past the grief.
