Appreciation
Softness nuzzles my face,
long, silky fur curling on my arm.
Concerned cur burrows undercover,
satin coat stretching at my side.
.
A living creature shows, “I care,”
their muted thoughts escape
my understanding.
.
In the dark of a wordless night,
kindness in any form,
and love in any shape
I appreciate.

When I awoke at 1 in the morning, Other Brother Coon Cat slept, curled up on my arm, and Dingo Mutt, under the covers, stretched out against me. A couple of illnesses hit with a vengeance early Monday morning, with chills as one of the symptoms. This odd couple insisted on keeping me warm for the past 2 days.
Animals are such a blessing! I hope you feel better soon!

Too cute! I had a coon cat that looked just like yours. He was a sweetie!

Totally agree. Our 4-footed companions are therapy wrapped in fur. 🙂
