NaNoWriMo Day 3

Immortal Sands

Hey!  FloridaBorne here.  It’s day 3 of NaNoWriMo and I’ve logged in 6480 words. Yes!!! I’m well on my way to 50,000 words in one month.

It helps when you can type between 50 – 90 words per minute…and you’re up most of the night.

The picture I took in June 2015 during a walk with my sister in the desert.

After trying to convince my sister to create a “book cover” (she knows how to use photoshop) and going nowhere with it, I did the best I could with a picture from my last trip to her home in the Southern California desert and a text box with yellow fill.  It isn’t great, but it’s slightly better than no book cover at all.

My story is about an immortal alien who was once a king when Earth had colonies on the Moon and Mars.   Stuck on this planet (after being without consciousness for a very long time), he goes through 125 years of Karma in a race to  build a space ship to fly out of this insane asylum.  In the meantime,  remnants of the civilization he destroyed on Earth 50,000 years earlier try to hunt him down.  True, he can’t be killed.  But he can be locked in a room deep underground never to see daylight again.

Sound interesting?  Yes?  No?

Who knows if it will become another Indie novel.  It depends greatly upon the army of editors I need to make it happen.  🙂
