I enjoyed reading the memo. It’s interesting how this one thing links us all as a civilisation: Civilised behaviour. So close we are, and yet it seems, oh so far. x
Some of the posters are funny, others are great, and still others make you want to shake someone and ask, “Do you know what it means to use critical thinking?” 🙂
Yeah, I remember reading one with an underlay of a little girl holding a math book. The text read “This is hard. F* it. I’ll just be a stripper instead.” I was done with fb after that 🙂
We humans tend to ignore what we don’t want to believe, and to believe what we want to see.
What if there was a war and no one would fight? What if people in government weren’t corrupt and didn’t owe so many favors by the time the made it into high places?
Unfortunately, there are always going to be people who want to spread their brand of “truth.”
Some days I wonder if this world is always going to be a hotbed of hostility.
We are all in this together, but sadly we are unable to see the obvious. We want to draw lines in the sand, puff up our chests and proclaim, “My belief is the One and the only.”

All too true.

Fascinating that all these religions call for the same behavior, and frightening that so many totally ignore it.

I’ll give facebook kudos for that one. I didn’t find to much more than gossip when I was on fb so I deactivated my account.

Not for nothing, but some of the things posted are not even understood by the one that posts!

Humans aren’t perceptive creatures, we’re creatures of preconceptions. 🙂
