Hell to Pave
I have opinions.
(Really????? Who knew?)
Yes…and a tendency to travel through the sarcasm chasm.
There are 2 words I’m seeing a lot more of lately
1. Empowerment: A word that is supposed to mean that you give power to someone, take back your power, or simply make nasty finger gestures at your boss, get fired and create a company that eventually buys his company out so you can fire him.
2. Submit: To stop trying to fight or resist something. In other words, to surrender to someone with more power than you.
I have 2 questions which, of course, I’ll answer.
Q: If empowerment is such a great thing, why do the people who won’t allow it continue to be the ones who say they want to give it to us?
A: Because they think we’re stupid enough to believe them. That, or the concept of empowering people who insist on having a cult leader is the very definition of your mother’s old cliche, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
Q: Why was the word “send” replaced by the word “submit” when sending information to a company or government on-line?
A: Subliminal suggestion. Write to each and every single one of the 3000 websites you buy stuff from and tell them to immediately change the word to SEND or you’ll stop purchasing their S#it. (This is high priority forget all those slaves who are making their products ….forget … forget… you are very, very sleepy… watch some reality TV).
I’ve had 5 hours sleep. It’s 7am and I’m going to attempt to get 2 hours more. When I wake up, I’d better find out that this entire post was nothing more than a very strange dream or there’s going to be hell to pave!
