POETRY WAR: Positively reticent

“The Elephant’s Child”. from thaifoodandtravel.com
An elephant is relevant
and ultimately confident
when he is in his element
and not within a zoo.
.
The human is irrelevant
a city-dwelling occupant
who locks himself inside cement
within his high-rise zoo.

From landofsnows.com
Perspective is incipient
learned in the crib with reticence
a helpless mass of innocence
dependent from the start.
.
An elephant knew how to run
the moment that his life begun
so which of us is truly free…
the elephant or me?

Thanks. 🙂
My brain never would sit down and behave. Just ask my teacher who called my mother in because I wouldn’t stop telling people my name was Helen (In my mind, it should have been). No one listens to kids. 🙂

Kids who can’t stay in their seats in school can become the go getters in the real world. At least that’s what Maria Montessori believed.
Thank you, Helen – lol. That’s a form of my name too!

Perspective….I’d like one cup of Perspective, please.
Whatever flavor she’s drinking will be fine.

Ha, ha- that’s probably what made you so sharp. You had to imagine strategies for breaking out of the coup. Who knows what your Mom has to say about that one. 😀

My mom passed away a few decades ago. She’d probably agree. 🙂
