Saying goodbye
New house, new life.
Wisconsin in late summer.
This is how I remember
my daughter.
Dresses, not pants.
Purple, pink and pretty.
This is how I remember
the small child.
Years of sorrow,
losing her father at 5
I remember the heartache,
the empty.
New house, new life
Oklahoma in summer.
After visiting family, its
time to go.
Saying goodbye
to the woman and the child
both are one. There’s no difference
in my mind.
Loved this! It seems you and my daughter have had similar journeys as mothers.

She fell in love with a man who has 2 children. She is an excellent mother and he is a very appreciative husband. I couldn’t be more proud of her. 🙂

My daughter too… She has moved home from Florida though. I am so happy to be the grandmother of her children 🙂
